Katina Calakos-Mano, PhD

Dr. Katina Calakos-Mano is a Program Officer at the Coalition for Aligning Science (CAS), where she supports data operations for the Aligning Research to Impact Autism (ARIA) initiative. Dr. Calakos-Mano strives to leverage her expertise in scientific data to improve the lives of individuals affected by neurological conditions.

Before joining CAS, Dr. Calakos-Mano was a Staff Scientist for the Simons Searchlight natural history registry at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Simons Foundation. In this role, she managed the collection, curation, and distribution of analysis-ready deidentified clinical datasets to support research on rare genetic neurodevelopmental disorders. Her work contributed to the success of collaborative, open science research projects and maximized the potential of data to unlock scientific discoveries. 

Dr. Calakos-Mano earned her BA in Neuroscience & Behavior from Barnard College and her PhD in Neuroscience from Yale University.
